Hibernians will be all out for the three points as they take on Mosta in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium.
The Paolites lie three points behind Birkirkara and a win over Mosta would put them on level points with the Stripes with one game to go for the end of the season.
Last week against Birkirkara, Mosta earned their first point after eight consecutive defeats. Therefore the Paolites’ task will be no easy one although they start as favourites to claim victory.
Rodolfo Soares returns for Hibernians after serving a one-match ban while Mosta midfielder Danail Mitev is ruled out through suspension.
Hibernians defeated Mosta four times this season – 3-2, 1-0, 3-1 and 2-1 in the U*BET FA Trophy third round clash.
Meanwhile in the first match, Hamrun Spartans will also be all out to claim the three points as they take on Floriana.
Following Rabat’s 4-1 win over Melita, the Spartans lie second from bottom, four points behind the Magpies and therefore cannot afford any other result if they aim at playing in the Premier League once again next season.
The Greens won the last six matches while Hamrun suffered a 6-2 defeat to Qormi last week.
Adrian Borg returns for Hamrun after serving a suspension. The Greens, however could not field their best formation due to the absence of goalkeeper Tony Warner and midfielder Steve Pisani as they are suspended.
The first round clash ended in a 1-1 draw but Floriana defeated Hamrun 2-0 and 3-0 in the second and third rounds.
