Malta Under-17 loses to Austria in friendly match

malta-u17-austria130611pzcThe Malta Under-17 side lost 1-3 to Austria in a friendly match at the Centenary Stadium on Tuesday.

Jake Grech put Malta ahead on the 15th minute but two goals late in the first half by Thomas Hodl and Bernhard Fila turned the score in the visitors’ favour. Nico Loffler sealed the issue with a third goal six minutes from time.

Another friendly match against Austria is scheduled for Thursday at 19:00 at the same venue.
