Intensive transfer campaign for Balzan FC

balzan-fcBalzan FC are one of the most active clubs in the transfer market, strengthening with squad with no less than twelve new players.

New foreigners on the books of the club is Premier League top scorer Jose Luis Armario Negrin who played for Melita and Rabat Ajax last season, Fabio Vignaroli who played for Mosta, Erjon Beu who played for Lija Athletic and Norwegian striker Kai Risholt who played for Etar 1924 in Bulgaria last year.

Balzan also managed to sign defenders Justin Grioli from Tarxien, Steve Bezzina who played for Mosta, Godwin Mckay and Andrew Scicluna from Birkirkara, Mark Spiteri from Floriana, Luke Sciberras from Qormi and Michael Falzon.

Lydon Micallef, Michael Borg and Evair Grech return from with the club after being on loan elsewhere last season.

Foreigners Renato Conceicao, Matthew Mendy and Elie Moises Akui N’Dekre were not retained. Christian Caruana is expected to re-join Floriana while Malta international defender Jacob Borg is aiming to joining another club. Yessous Camilleri, Bjorn Bondin, Rennie Forace, Jonathan Francica and Jamie Pace are back with Valletta. Matthew Camilleri and Stefan Giglio are no longer with the club.

Daniel Miguelez Martinez, Fredrick Tabone, Aaron Agius, Firas Aboulezz, Dylan Grima, Kevin Camilleri and Ryan Darmanin are the only players from last year’s squad to feature in the squad for the forthcoming season.

Riccardo Tumiatti has been confirmed as first-team coach, assisted by Silvan Ciscaldi. Eddie Bartolo has been appointed goalkeepers’ coach.
