After suffering a 2-0 defeat to Poland in their last outing with two goals in the final five minutes, the Malta Under-21 side lost 1-0 to Hungary in a friendly match at the Bozsik Stadion in Budapest on Wednesday. This match formed part of the team’s preparation ahead of next month’s UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifier against Turkey and Greece away from home.
Richard Vernes scored the only goal five minutes in added time.
