The Malta Women’s Under-19 national team lost 3-0 to the Netherlands in another match from Group 6 of the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship first qualifying round mini-tournament at the FK Srem Stadium in Jakovo, Serbia.
Laura Strik put the Dutch ahead on 34 minutes. Three minutes from time, Jill Roord doubled the score and Ilse van der Zanden sealed the issue with a third goal one minute in added time.
Malta plays the third and final match on Thursday against Bosnia-Herzegovina. Bosnia-Herzegovina lost 0-2 to the Netherlands and 1-2 to Serbia.
