Pietà Hotspurs returned at the top of the BOV First Division table thanks to a 4-0 win over neighbours Msida St. Joseph. A win which puts Noel Coleiro’s side one point ahead of Zebbug Rangers who however have a game in hand.
In another match, Hamrun Spartans obtained their fourth consecutive positive result as they held Melita in a goalless draw.
Pietà lead the way with 33 points, followed by Zebbug on 32, Lija 28, Melita 23, St. George’s 20, Gudja 18, Gzira 17, St. Andrews 16, Birzebbuga 15, Zejtun 14, Zurrieq 12, Msida 11 and Hamrun 7.
