The Malta Under-17 national team defeated the England Colleges national team 5-3 in a match from Group B of the Torneo Roma Caput Mundi at the Stadio Roberto Abbafati in Lariano on Tuesday.

Malta will now face Italy – Lega Nazionale Dilettanti on Wednesday at the Stadio Comunale in Artena. Italy beat San Marino 2-0 in another match on Tuesday.

The final group match is against San Marino on Thursday.

This tournament is part of the team’s preparation ahead of the UEFA Under-17 Championship finals which will be played in Malta next May.
