National coach Pietro Ghedin named a provisional twenty-six man squad ahead of next month’s friendly match against Gibraltar. The squad includes four new faces, namely Ishmael Grech of Mosta, Ryan Scicluna of Birkirkara, Steve Pisani of Floriana and Jean Paul Farrugia of Hibernians.
Scicluna, Pisani and Farrugia are members of the Under-21 squad. Former Malta Under-21 coach Ray Farrugia will be assisting Ghedin as assistant coach as from this game against Gibraltar which will be played at the Estadio Algarve in Faro, Portugal on Wednesday June 4.
Back in squad are Valletta FC players who were dropped a few days before the last friendly match against Albania after they failed to report for training for two days.
