Maltese officials participate in UEFA Under-17 Championship final tournament

UEFA-Under-17-Malta2014-logoFIFA Referees Clayton Pisani and Alan Mario Sant are the two local match officials appointed by UEFA to act as Fourth Officials at the UEFA Under-17 Final Tournament being held in Malta.

Following a rigorous fitness test for all match officials prior to the start of the tournament, Clayton Pisani and Alan Mario Sant joined the refereeing team for daily training sessions at the Mellieha Ground and technical meetings at the Ramla Bay Resort, the base for referees and observers during this tournament.

Clayton Pisani was appointed for the Holland vs Turkey match on MD1, Switzerland vs Portugal on MD2 and Switzerland vs Scotland on MD3, while Alan Mario Sant was appointed for the Scotland vs Portugal match on MD1, Germany vs Scotland on MD2 and England vs Holland on MD3.

UEFA has also appointed MFA Director of Refereeing Adrian Casha as one of four referee observers at this Final Tournament, the others being Marc Batta (France), Kyros Vassaras (Greece) and Leif Lindberg (Sweden).

MFA Fitness Coach Ronald Zammit and MFA Physiotherapist Simon Cilia have been entrusted with the physical preparation of the match officials, while Marie-Christine Seydoux is the UEFA Refereeing Department Representative on site.
