One hundred and sixty goalkeepers from Malta and Gozo took part in the 4th edition of the GOALKEEPER BATTLE 2014. The battle provided a unique occasion for all goalkeepers to compete and show their talents but also an opportunity to meet, enjoy and learn.

Participants in this year’s edition included well-established goalkeepers like David Cassar and Matthew Camilleri, Under-21 international Jurgen Borg and Pembroke’s Matthew Calleja Cremona who won the Under-19 and Under-17 categories in previous years.

Under-9 – ISAAC ABELA (PIETA)

Under-15 – CLYDE AQUILINA (BKARA)
Under-17 – DORIAN BUGEJA (HIBS)
Under-19 – KEANE CUTAJAR (SLIEMA)
Seniors – MATTHEW CALLEJA CREMONA(PEMBROKE)
Girls – ROSIE BALDACHINO (PEMBROKE)

Karl Magri from the Seniors category won the Top Scorer Award with 65 goals while Clyde Aquilina from the Under-15 category won the award for the Least Goals Conceded – just three goals.
