Colombian duo for Balzan

Balzan secured the services of Colombian duo Oscar Guerrero and Elkin Serrano.

Guerrero had an excellent season with Vittoriosa Stars, winning the BOV Player of the Month award twice. He will now join his former coach Oliver Spiteri at Balzan. He started his career in Colombia before moving to Pyunik in Armenia. He had two spells in Israel with Ramat HaSharon and Hapoel Jerusalem before moving to Malta last summer.

Thirty-year old Elkin Serrano played in his native Colombia throughout his career.

Balzan had earlier signed goalkeepers Steve Sultana from Qormi and Christian Cassar from Hibernians, Samir Arab on loan from Valletta, Clive Brincat from Vittoriosa and Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza from Valletta.
