The Malta Under-17 side lost 0-1 to Serbia in the first match from the Under-17 international tournament being held in Hungary, the Telki Cup.

It was an undeserved defeat for Sergio Soldano’s side with Serbia scoring the only goal seven minutes from time through Sbrijanac.
