Mosta secured the services of Portuguese winger Fábio Paím who earlier this summer was on trial with Qormi.
Paím started his career with the youths of Sporting Lisbon but never played for the senior side, spending time on loan with C.D. Olivais e Moscavide, C.D. Trofense and F.C. Paços de Ferreira. In August 2008, Paím moved on loan to Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Chelsea but only appeared for the Reserves team during a four-month spell. In December, he moved back to Portugal, joining Rio Ave. After a spell on loan with Real Massamá, he was transferred to Torreense. C.D. Primeiro de Agosto and S.L. Benfica Luanda in Angola, Futebol Benfica, Al Kharaitiyat in Qatar and U.D. Oliveirense.
Paím gained 41 caps for Portugal in all youth categories, scoring seven goals.
The twenty-six year old midfielder is set to make his Mosta debut this weekend along with Pedro dos Santos Calcado who missed the first game through suspension.
