Mosta and Sliema Wanderers continued to strengthen their squads with the signing of foreign players on loan from Italian clubs.

Mosta secured the services of twenty-four year old Brazilian striker Mateus Riberio dos Santos. After playing for Cruzeiro, he moved to Italy where he played for Valle del Giovenco, Sulmona, Civitella Roveto, Giulianova and Matera before signing for Empoli earlier this month.

On the other hand, Portuguese striker Bocar Djumo will be joining Sliema Wanderers on loan from Inter.

The twenty-year old striker, who was born in Guinea-Bissau, was loaned to União Madeira last summer but in February, he moved to FC Oţelul Galaţi in Romania
