New sponsor for Hibernians

Hibernians FC reached an agreement with Vaughanboxing.TV over a two-year sponsorship. This was announced by Hibernians president Tony Bezzina during a press conference at the Hibernians Stadium on Friday.

Speaking on behalf of his father, Stephen Vaughan Jnr. said that the company had sponsored another two Premier League clubs in past years and now he is glad to have been approached by Hibernians in view of a possible partnership.

After a few days of negotiations, he felt welcome at the club. He thanked president Tony Bezzina, general manager Ranier Bezzina and team manager Jeffrey Farrugia who was instrumental in the deal between the two parties.

Tony Bezzina thanked Stephen Vaughan Jnr and his family for believing in the club and supporting it. He said that the club’s main objective will e that of challenging for honours. Bezzina believes that with the new signings, the club has what it takes to challenge for honours after a positive start to the Premier League campaign.

The Hibernians president also thanked Teddy Mizzi of Melita Gardens, now Laguna Restaurant in Smart City for his sponsorship during the past season. He also thanked former team manager Jesmond Abela and wished success to the new team manager Jeffrey Farrugia whom he described another important signing for the club and who will definitely work hard for the team to improve.

Farrugia said he was glad to join the club and thanked the committee for the faith shown in him. He said he would like to pay them back with hard work.

Finally Hibernians President Tony Bezzina presented Steven Vaughan Jnr with the official kit.

Present for this press conference were the club’s new signings, namely Andrei Agius, Henry Bonello, Rui da Gracia Gomes and Jorge Pereira da Silva along with captain Andrew Cohen.
