BOV Second Division leaders San Gwann were held in a 1-1 draw by rivals Gharghur to allow Hamrun Spartans to join them at the top of the table.
Shaun Micallef put Gharghur ahead on the 20th but San Gwann rescued a point thanks to a goal by Dormond Micallef on the 54th.
Two goals in the final six minutes enabled Hamrun Spartans to come back from one goal down and beat Mellieha 2-1. Wayne Borg St John put Mellieha ahead seven minutes in the second half but Hamrun equalised through Ryan Spiteri on the 84th and the same player notched the winner on the 90th.
Zabbar St. Patrick registered a sixth win in seven matches as they defeated Senglea Athletic 4-2 to move third. Dillon Pace put Zabbar ahead on the 18th and six minutes in the second half, Clayton Camilleri doubled the score. Aud-Gustine James Obaje reduced the gap on the hour but Dylan Micallef scored the third goal for Zabbar on 73 minutes. Adrian Pulis scored a second goal for Senglea five minutes later but Clayton Camilleri secured victory for Atanas Marinov’s side two minutes from time.
Siggiewi beat Marsa 2-0 thanks to goals by Stephane Tape on 35 minutes and Ayrton Buhagiar two minutes in added time.
Sirens and Dingli Swallows shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Ryan Sciberras put Sirens ahead on the 8th minute but two minutes from the end of the first half, Kurt Pace levelled matters. Matthew Pace made it 2-1 on the 60th but deep into stoppage time, Ryan Sciberras made it 2-2.
Zejtun Corinthians came from behind to beat Xghajra Tornados 3-1. Royter Degiorgio put Xghajra ahead on the 12th but Gary Busuttil equalised two minutes in the second half. Justin Felice made it 2-1 on the 70th and Ryan Sell scored the third goal five minutes from time.
Hamrun and San Gwann lead the way with 25 points, followed by Zabbar on 21, Senglea 19, Gharghur 17, Zejtun 16, Swieqi and Sirens 15, Mellieha 12, Siggiewi 11, Marsa 8, Dingli 7, Ghaxaq 4 and Xghajra 3.
