Italian goalkeeper Pietro Demetrio Marino will be joining Valletta once again after a spell with the club last season.
With Valletta, he made just four appearances in the UEFA Europa League, played eight games in the BOV Premier League and one in the U*BET FA Trophy.
A product of Reggina Calcio, Marino was loaned to Castelnuovo Garfagnana in the Serie C2 in season 2007/08 but returned with Reggina the following season, making his Serie A debut on May 31st, 2009 in a 1-1 draw with Siena. He played regularly for the club the following season in the Serie B but mid-way through season 2010/11, was loaned to Cosenza in the Serie C1. He started the following season with Reggina but once again was loaned during the January transfer window to Barletta. Marino joined Valletta in summer 2013.
Last October, he joined Monopoli in the Serie D but the contract was terminated by mutual consent after just three weeks, reportedly for the delay in the arrival of the international transfer certificate.
Meanwhile the club will be giving a trial to twenty-year old striker David Moli. Moli was a member of the Liverpool Academy after joining the club from Luton Town, he was on the books of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Boreham Wood FC and Hayes & Yeading FC over the past three years.
