Senegalese striker Demba Touré joined Naxxar Lions after being released by First Division side Pembroke Athleta earlier this month.
Touré was on the books of Lyon in France before being loaned to Grasshopper Club Zürich in Switzerland. Demba then moved to Astra Ploiești in Romania and then had a six-month spell with Al-Oruba Dubai.
The thirty-year old striker joined Valletta mid-way through season 2012/13, scoring six goals in fourteen matches. In summer 2013, he signed for Birkirkara but scored only one goal as he started only a handful of games. In January, he was transferred to Tarxien Rainbows as part of an exchange deal which saw Ronaille Calheira Seara move in the opposite direction.
This summer, Touré joined Pembroke Athleta.
In the January transfer window, Naxxar have already secured the services of Albert Bruce and Jorge Santos Silva
