Mosta secured the services of Nigerian winger Haruna Babangida, the younger brother of former Ajax winger Tijani Babangida.
Haruna Babangida started his career with Shooting Stars in Nigeria before joining Ajax at the age of 13. A year later he joined Barcelona and became the second youngest player ever to feature for Barcelona at the age of 15. However he went only to play for their second team, apart from loan spells with Terrassa and Cadiz in Spain.
In 2004, he moved to Metalurh Donetsk in Ukraine but the following season, he joined Olympiacos in Greece. Despite signing a three-year deal, he was released after the second year and moved to Cyprus where he played for Apollon Limassol. He went on to play for FC Kuban Krasnodar in Russia, Mainz 05 in Germany, Vitesse in the Netherlands and Kapfenberger SV in Austria.
Babangida, who is now aged thirty-two, was inactive over the past two years.
Mosta have so far signed Yannick Ossok, Gary Roberts, Diogo Pinheiro de Sousa and Ian Zammit.
