The Sliema Football Nursery’s younger age groups had wonderful and colourful training sessions on Carnival Sunday as for the day the young players and their coaches combined football and carnival fun during the training sessions.

Another event organised during this period was the Carnival Football Fun Festival. Teams from Sliema Wanderers, Mosta, Tarxien Rainbows, Valletta, Gzira United, Lija/Iklin and Mellieha Football Nurseries participated in keenly-contested matches that were also played in good sporting spirit as grassroots football fun was at its best during the day-long football feast.
