Mqabba scored three in the first half as they defeated Vittoriosa Stars 4-0 in a clash from the BOV First Division to deny the latter the chance to move in joint-third place together with Melita.

Karl Cutajar put Mqabba ahwad on the 8th and Guy Stephane Tape doubled the score seven minutes later. Brandon Grech added another three minutes before the end of the first half and Alessio Cassar sealed the issue on the 91st for Mqabba who move to just two points behind the Stars.

Pembroke and St. Andrews lead the way with 49 points, followed by Melita on 41 points, St. George’s and Fgura 40, Gzira 39, Gudja and Vittoriosa 38, Mqabba 36, Lija 35, Rabat 23, Zurrieq 19, Msida 15 and Birzebbuga.
