Under-21 side holds Moldova in goalless draw

The Malta Under-21 side held Moldova in a goalless draw at the Stadionul Zimbru in Chisinau on Thursday. This game was the first match for Malta from Group 1 of the UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifiers.

As expected, the Moldovans created the better chances throughout the ninety minutes but Silvio Vella’s side managed to control their opponents well to collect a point from the game.

Malta will be in action once again on Tuesday against Latvia at the Daugava Stadium in Liepaja.
