Senglea, hosts St. Andrews share spoils in 3-3 draw in Luxol tournament

Senglea Athletic and St. Andrews shared the spoils in an entertaining 3-3 draw in a game from Group B in the St. Andrews Summer Friendship Cup being played at the Luxol Stadium.

Christian Cassar put Senglea ahead on the 11th but Joseph Farrugia levelled matters five minutes later. Cassar restored the lead on the 22nd thanks to a penalty but another penalty, this time converted by Felix Udoh for St. Andrews on the half-hour made it 2-2. The Saints forged ahead thanks to Luca Cosmai on the 45th but thirteen minutes in the second half, Miguel Ciantar restored equilibrium.

Sliema lead the way with six points, followed by Senglea on four, St. Andrews 1 and Fgura 0.

In Group A, Tarxien Rainbows collected their first three points in a 2-1 win over Gzira United.
Diego Maximo put Lucky Omeruo doubled the score on the 44th. Krishna Thabars pulled one back for the Maroons on the 91st minute.

Valletta lead the way with six points, followed by Tarxien on three, Melita and Gzira 0.
