Champions Hibernians seek maximum points on Sunday to re-join Balzan on top as they take on Mosta in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium.
The Paolites are eager to bounce back following a 1-1 draw with Pembroke Athleta in their last outing allowed Balzan to join them at the top. With Balzan notching a late winner against Qormi on Saturday, Hibs need the three points to share once again the top spot.
Mosta had a fine start winning their first three matches but two defeats in the last three matches leave Ivan Zammit’s side in a mid-table position. Last week, they lost 1-3 to Balzan.
Hibs defender Andrei Agius and Mosta midfielder Dyson Falzon are ruled out through suspension.
Meanwhile in the first match, Birkirkara take on St. Andrews. A win is a must for the Stripes after winning just three out of the first six matches. By beating the Saints, they would move to just three points behind the leaders.
St. Andrews are still without any points after six matches and will continue to chase their first positive result after losing narrowly to Sliema last week.
Edward Herrera, Nikola Vukanac and Mauricio Mazzetti will be missing the game for Birkirkara while goalkeeper Kris Calleja is in doubt for St. Andrews.
