Valletta aim at extending positive run

Valletta will be hoping to extend their positive run to ten matches with a win as they take on Mosta in one of four BOV Premier League matches in programme at the Hibernians Stadium and the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

Naxxar Lions seek a second consecutive win against St. Andrews, Tarxien Rainbows aim at returning to winning ways in the clash with Qormi while Floriana face a tricky test against Pembroke Athleta.

Naxxar Lions vs St. Andrews, kick-off 18:00 at Hibernians Stadium
Following a comfortable 5-0 win over Qormi, Naxxar Lions target a second consecutive win as they take on a St. Andrews side who finally managed to collect its first point in a 2-2 draw with Hibernians last week.

Italian goalkeeper Alberto Gallinetta will finally make his debut for Naxxar but Angus Buhagiar is suspended.

Naxxar beat St. Andrews 2-1 in the first round.

Valletta vs Mosta, kick-off 20:00 at Hibernians Stadium
Following a 3-2 win over Pembroke, Valletta target another three points to make sure of staying three points ahead of Hibernians. Seventh-placed Mosta held Tarxien in a goalless draw last week after beating Naxxar Lions in the previous game.

Michael Mifsud is ruled out through suspension for Valletta but new signings Luis Vergara Rodriguez and Rafael Rodrigues Ledesma could make their debut. Mosta, on the other hand, welcome back Edile Micheletti.

In the first round, Mosta and Valletta shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Tarxien Rainbows vs Qormi, kick-off 18:00 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
After losing to Pembroke Athleta, Tarxien Rainbows hope to bounce back with a win over Qormi. Qormi, on the other hand, suffered five consecutive defeats including two back-to-back 0-5 defeats to Balzan and Naxxar.

Bruno Giglio de Oliveira, Joao Pedro Oliveira Santos and Carlos Hevia Menendez return for Tarxien after serving a one-match ban.

Tarxien defeated Qormi 4-1 in the first round and once again 4-1, but after extra-time, in the FA Trophy.

Floriana vs Pembroke Athleta, kick-off 20:15 at Victor Tedesco Stadium
Floriana will be aiming at returning to winning ways as they take on Pembroke Athleta. The Greens lost 1-2 to Valletta but then held Birkirkara in a goalless draw last week. Pembroke, on the other hand, lost 2-3 to Valletta after beating Naxxar and Tarxien.

For Pembroke, Paltemio Barbetti is suspended. Floriana, welcome back Nicolas Chiesa and Clyde Borg.

In the first round, Floriana beat Pembroke 2-1.
