A goal by Duncan Pisani mid-way through the second half gave Vittoriosa Stars three precious points as they defeated Rabat Ajax 1-0 in a match from the BOV First Division at the Centenary Stadium on Monday.

This win puts Vittoriosa on the 30-point mark ten ahead of San Gwann and twelve ahead of St. George’s.

Rabat, on the other hand, stay six points ahead of San Gwann, together with Fgura, one point ahead of Melita.

Gzira lead the way with 54 points, followed by Hamrun on 51, Senglea 44, Pietà 37, Mqabba 32, Lija and Zebbug 31, Vittoriosa 30, Rabat and Fgura 26, Melita 25, San Gwann 20, St. George’s 18 and Gudja 8.
