The Malta Under-16 national team scored three in the second half as they registered a 3-0 win over Azerbaijan in the UEFA Under-16 Development Tournament at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday. This was the second win for Sergio Soldano’s side following a 3-2 win over Belarus in their first outing.
Malta broke the deadlock thanks to a goal by Andre Spiteri on the 52nd. Calvin Camilleri doubled the score on the hour and Spiteri added another eight minutes later.
The third and final game is on Monday against Liechtenstein, kick-off at 13:15.
