Gozo FC were crowned champions of the BOV Women’s Second Division following an 8-0 win over Hamrun Spartans at the Kercem Ajax Stadium on Sunday.
The Gozitans won sixteen of the seventeen games played, dropping their only points in a draw with Hamrun Spartans. They scored eighty-six, an average of over five goals per game.
Horace Laudi, Regional Manager for Bank of Valletta and Norman Darmanin Demajo, President of the Malta Football Association, presented the Medals and Trophy to the Champions in the presence of Gozo Football Association President Dr Samuel Azzopardi.
Runners-up Swieqi United will now face the fifth team in the BOV Women’s First Division in a play-off on May 10th.
