BOV First, Second and Third Division League 2016/17 draws

Senglea Athletic, who missed out on promotion after losing the play-off to St. Andrews, will be facing Qormi, who were relegated from the Premier League in match day 1 of the BOV First Division while Naxxar Lions, who were also relegated from the Premier League will be facing Pietà Hotspurs. The draws for the BOV First Division, BOV Second Division and BOV Third Division for season 2016/17 were held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior on Wednesday.

Sirens and Gharghur who were both promoted from the BOV Second Division will be facing each other while Marsa take on Mqabba. in the other matches, Zebbug Rangers face Vittoriosa Stars, Fgura United take on Rabat Ajax while Lija Athletic meet Melita.

BOV FIRST DIVISION
Fourteen teams will be taking part in the BOV First Division which will be played on two rounds. This season, the top three teams will be promoted while the team placing fourth will take part in a play-off against the team placing 11th in the BOV Premier League. The bottom two teams will be relegated.

Matches will be played once again at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and the Centenary Stadium. The league will kick-off on September 9 and will come to an end on April 30.
