Newly-promoted duo Gzira United and Hamrun Spartans will be facing each other in a direct clash on Saturday in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the Hibernians Stadium.
The Spartans had a fantastic start last week as they registered a 3-1 win over Hibernians and now look forward for another positive result as they take on rivals Gzira who earned a point in a 1-1 draw with Tarxien Rainbows in their first league outing.
Hamrun coach Steve D’Amato hopes to have more of their new foreign players at his disposal. Branko Nisevic, on the other hand, should have the full squad at his disposal apart from the injured Juan Corbalan.
Meanwhile in the first match, Floriana will be aiming for a second win as they take on St. Andrews. The Greens, who defeated Pembroke Athleta 2-1 last week, were strengthened with the signing of Ryan Camenzuli and Argentine striker Ignacio Lucas Varela.
St. Andrews, on the other hand, need to improve their performance after a disappointing show in a 0-4 defeat to Birkirkara last week.
