Mgarr United presented the squad competing in the M.F.A. Second Division for season 2016/17 during a press conference which was held at the club premises.
Coach Robert Magro thanked Club President Joseph Schembri and his committee for the continuous help in his fourth season with Club. He remarked that after last season’s positive results with the acquisition of four new signings, the club can now aspire for new heights and after seven weeks of intensive preseason training the squad is ready for the new season.
Club President Joseph Schembri said that the squad was prepared well in preseason by coach Robert Magro and considering the second half of last season with the strengthening of the squad the Club is looking forward for the season.
After confirming Serbian striker Lazar Doric, the club brought in goalkeeper Ryan Marmara from Fgura United, Christian Tonna from Mellieha, Gianluca Vella, Jean Paul Grima, Jamie Micallef and Steve Schembri from Mosta, Russell Marmara from Floriana, Matthew Agius from Kirkop United and Mark Vassallo from Dingli Swallows while Adam Debattista returned from a spell on loan with Sirens.
