Gareth Southgate names England squad to face Malta

wembleyInterim England manager Gareth Southgate has named his squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia.

Marcus Rashford is back in squad after scoring a hat-trick on his debut for the Under-21 side against Norway last month. Jesse Lingard was also promoted from the Under-21 squad.

Glen Johnson is included for the first time since the 2014 World Cup, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in the squad after a year’s absence. Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne are both missing due to injuries.

Harry Kane, Jack Butland, Danny Drinkwater, Adam Lallana and Nathaniel Clyne are all ruled out injured.
