National coach Pietro Ghedin named the provisional squad ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Slovenia in programme on November 11 and the international friendly match against Iceland scheduled four days later.
The squad includes some new faces who were promoted from the Under-21 squad. These are defenders Samir Arab of Balzan, Daniel Zerafa of Tarxien Rainbows and Sam Magri of Dover Athletic.
Barnet midfielder Luke Gambin makes his return after serving a two-match ban but Roderick Briffa is still ruled out injured. Jonathan Caruana, who was sent off in the last game against Lithuania, is not part of the squad.
With the inclusion of Magri and the return of Gambin, there are now four foreign-based players – the others being Zach Muscat and Andre Schembri.
