National coach Pietro Ghedin named the final squad ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Slovenia in programme on November 11 at the National Stadium, kick-off at 20:45.
Dover Athletic defender Sam Magri, who was part of the Malta Under-21 squad in the UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign is the only new face in the squad. Another member of the Under-21 squad, Ryan Camenzuli of Floriana, also makes it to the twenty-man squad.
The players to be dropped from the provisional squad were Valletta goalkeeper Henry Bonello, Samir Arab and Paul Fenech of Balzan, Alex Muscat and Mark Scerri of Sliema and Daniel Zerafa of Tarxien.
Barnet midfielder Luke Gambin makes his return after serving a two-match ban but Jonathan Caruana, who was sent off in the last game against Lithuania, is ruled out as he serves a two-match ban. Roderick Briffa is ruled out injured.
