The Malta Under-19 side, led by coach Wayne Attard, ended their commitments in Group 10 of the UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifying round with a 1-0 win over Moldova at the Gradski Stadion Zemum in Belgrade, Serbia on Monday.
Aidan Friggieri scored the all-important goal for Malta on the 72nd minute.
Malta therefore ends its commitments in third place with three points, three ahead of Moldova. Sweden won the group with maximum points from three matches after defeating hosts Serbia 3-2.
