Darren Abdilla has been re-appointed as Head Coach of Gzira United. He replaces Branko Nisevic who handed his resignation on Monday after joining the club in summer.
Abdilla led Gzira United to promotion to the Premier League after an absence of thirty-four years and this summer committed his future to the club by signing a new three-year deal to form part of the Maroons’ technical staff although his role was changed from that of coach to assistant coach.
Darren Abdilla had joined Gzira United mid-way through season 2014/15, leading the club to third place and the Play-Off spot where they lost to Mosta. However last season, they were not to be denied as they claimed the championship.
