The third round of the FA Trophy kicks-off this week with two games on Tuesday and another three on Wednesday.

In the first match on Tuesday, First Division side Senglea Athletic takes on Hibernians. Senglea, who reached this stage after defeating Gozitan side Xaghra United 7-1 in the second round are currently second in the BOV First Division. The Paolites also lie in second place in the BOV Premier League.

In the second match, St. Andrews take on Birkirkara in an all-Premier League clash. The two teams met twice this season in the BOV Premier League with Birkirkara winning the first round clash 4-0 and the second round clash ending in a 1-1 draw.

On Wednesday, First Division side Marsa take on Xewkija Tigers. Marsa defeated another Gozitan side in the second round as they beat Kercem Ajax on penalties following a 3-3 draw. Xewkija, on the other hand, defeated Qala Saints 6-0 and First Division side Qormi 4-1.

Pietà Hospurs face Lija Athletic in a clash between two First Division sides. Pietà Hotspurs defeated Third Division side Kirkop United 1-0 while Lija Athletic beat Gozitans St. Laurence Spurs 5-0 in the previous round.

On the other hand, Sliema Wanderers meet Mosta. The two teams met in the first round of the BOV Premier League last month with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.
