Mqabba and Senglea Athletic shared the spoils in a goalless draw in a clash between two challengers for promotion in one of the two BOV First Division matches in programme the Centenary Stadium.

The Reds therefore move alone in second place on 21 points, three behind leaders Naxxar while Senglea are fourth on 19 points.

Meanwhile Rabat Ajax returned to winning ways as they defeated Gharghur 4-0. Following a goalless first half, Rabat took the lead through Wayne Borg on the 58th minute and ten minutes later, Ryan Micallef doubled the score. Aidan Azzopardi made it 3-0 on the 80th and one minute later, Dario Borg added another.

Naxxar lead the way with 24 points, followed by Mqabba on 21, Lija 20, Senglea 19, Qormi 18, Vittoriosa 16, Sirens and Rabat 13, Melita, Pietà and Marsa 12, Zebbug 10, Gharghur 9 and Fgura 8.
