UEFA Women’s Champions League: Minsk prove too strong for Birkirkara

ZFK Minsk of Belarus scored five within the first twenty-five minutes as they proved too strong for Birkirkara, defeating them 8-0 in the first match from Group 6 of the UEFA Women’s Champions League at the Stadion ŽŠD in Ljubljana on Tuesday.

Anna Pilipenko scored three within the first fifteen minutes with goals on the 8th, on the 11th and the 15th. Anastasia Linnik made it 4-0 and Tamila Khimich converted a penalty on the 25th minute with Yuliya Duben converting another penalty four minutes from the end of the first half. Khimich added another on the 69th minute with substitute Liana Miroshnichenko scoring the eighth goal three minutes from time.

On Friday, Birkirkara face Swiss side FC Zurich Frauen who beat hosts ZNK Olipija Ljubljana in another match on Tuesday.
