Another heavy defeat for Under-19 side against Hungary

The Malta Under-19 side lost 1-5 to Hungary at the Sportpark Ter Specke in Lisse on Tuesday in the final match from Group 4 of the UEFA Under-19 Championship qualifying round.

Norbert Kundrak put Hungary ahead on the 16th minute but Andrea Borg levelled matters on the 34th. Captain Zsombor Bévárdi increased the lead on the 54th when he converted a penalty.

Neil Micallef was sent off for Malta on the 61st minute after receiving a second yellow card and the Hungarians took full advantage, increasing the lead one minute later thanks to another Bévárdi penalty before substitute Alexander Torvund scored another two goals on the 66th and 82nd.
