Three new players, goalkeepers’ coach for Mosta

Mosta continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of three new players – Brazilian defender/midfielder Romeu Péricles Romão, Nigerian defender Emmanuel Ibok Edet and young Italian striker Matteo Gallo.

Twenty-eight year old Romeu Romao has been playing for Valletta for the past three years with whom the championship twice. Throughout his career, he only played in Brazil apart from a short spell in Hungary with Vasas SC.

Twenty-eight year old central defender Emmanuel Edet will be therefore returning to Malta after playing for Floriana in 2013/14 and Naxxar Lions in 2014/15. He had earlier played for Atletico Baleares in Spain and later played for Desportivo Aves in Portugal and UP Plasencia in Spain.

Twenty-year old right winger Matteo Gallo is a product of AC Chievo but had spells on loan with Grumellese and Viterbese.

Meanwhile Mosta have appointed Ivan Casha as their goalkeepers’ coach. A former coach of Marsa, Casha was the coach of the Hamrun Spartans youth team last season.
