Late goal sinks women’s Under-19 side

The Malta women’s Under-19 side lost 1-2 to Romania in the third and final friendly match between the two teams at the MFA Training Grounds.

These friendly matches were part of the team’s preparations ahead of the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship qualifiers against England, Slovakia and hosts Croatia.

Chloe Ann Ellul put Malta ahead on the 54th minute but Madalina Marinescu equalised on the 62nd and Cosmina Rosu notched the winner one minute from time.

The two teams Malta drew 3-3 in the first match on Tuesday while in the second match on Thursday, Romania won 3-1.
