A goal mid-way through the first half by Andrea Sant handed Birzebbuga St. Peter’s a narrow win over Zabbar St. Patrick in a match from the BOV Second Division at the Centenary Stadium on Monday. A win which puts them once again on top of the table, one point ahead of Fgura and Mgarr.
In another match, Siggiewi came from behind to beat Sta. Venera Lightnings 3-1.
Agatino Sicali put the Lightnings ahead on the 21st minute but Jason Camilleri equalised on the half-hour. Just before half-time, Darrell Grech gave Siggiewi the lead with Jason Camilleri sealing the issue on the 68th minute.
Birzebbuga lead the way with 17 points, followed by Fgura and Mgarr on 16, Rabat and Marsaxlokk 13, St. George’s and Melita 11, Zabbar, Siggiewi and Sta. Venera 7, Mellieha and Kalkara 6 and Luqa 4.
