The BOV Premier League resumes this weekend as Floriana take on Hamrun Spartans at the National Stadium, kick-off at 19:00.
The Spartans eye another positive result as they hope to extend their fine run after winning five out of the last six matches, dropping the only points in a draw with Balzan. They are currently fourth on level points with Sliema, six behind joint-leaders Gzira United and Hibernians. In their last outing, they registered a shock win over rivals Valletta.
Floriana, on the other hand, are currently ninth on 15 points, nine behind the Spartans. They defeated Tarxien 4-0 in their last outing but this was only the second win in seven matches.
The Greens could field their new signings, namely Edward Herrera, Argentine duo Ezequiel Cesani and Ulises Jose Arias and Brazilian Lucas Vieira da Silva.
Hamrun’s Karl Micallef and Floriana’s Alex Cini are ruled out through suspension.
