Qormi FC presented their new signings during a press conference which was held at the Qormi Sports Complex on Friday.
Following the appointment of Mario Muscat as their technical advisor, the squad was strengthened with the signing of Brazilians Mateus Regis da Silva, Lucas Santana dos Santos and Wellington de Oliveira Vieira. The club had earlier signed French player Freud Gnindokponou and Italian forward Antonio Rozzi.
On the other hand, Gaetano Gesualdi, Dejan Vukovic, Claudio Celis, Lubos Adamec, Seo-In Kim, Mario Andres Arrieta, Alexsandro Ferreira and Michael Camilleri were not retained.
Twenty-year old Brazilian defender Lucas Santana dos Santos joins the club from Botafogo.
Twenty-five year old Wellington Pequinha played for Tarxien Rainbows last season, joining them in the January transfer window while twenty-four year old Mateus Regis had played for Pembroke in the early part of season 2016/17.
Twenty-four year old Freud Gnindokponou played at youth level with Racing Club de Strasbourg before joining TA Rennes.
Twenty-four year old Antonio Rozzi, who played at youth level with Casal Monastero and Lodigiani before joining Lazio. He had spells on loan with Real Madrid Castilla, Bari, Virtus Entella, Virtus Lanciano, Siena and Lupa Roma.
Joining Mario Muscat in the technical staff, apart from coach Matthew Psaila are goalkeepers coach Francesco Scopece and physical trainer Karl Sciortino.
