Valletta made them eleven wins in as many matches, after beating the University of Malta Students Team 7-3.
It was a pleasant match to watch from both teams with the Universitarians leading the score three times.
Valletta, who lacked Columbian Camilo Andres Vanegas Gomes and Libyan Mohamed Lamari, scored thanks to a Denis Di Maio hat-trick, a goal apiece for Gia Nikvasvili and Melvin Borg together with a brace by Jovica Milijic. On the other hand, Ervin Rigo scored twice for the Universitarians along with a great goal by Daniel Borg.
Meanwhile Luxol St. Andrews defeated Birkirkara 5-3 while Swieqi United beat Tarxien Rainbows 5-2.
In the First Division, Pietà Hotspurs beat Luxol U19 12-0 while Swieqi United U21 beat UM Futsal Academy 8-3
The Malta FA Futsal League resumes on Monday 4th February after the National Team’s commitments in the FIFA Futsal World Cup Qualifiers.
