Birkirkara FC and Hibernians FC completed the swap deals of Andrew Hogg and Jake Grech. Hogg will be joining Birkirkara while Jake Grech joins the Paolites with the latter also paying an undisclosed fee.
Malta international goalkeeper Andrew Hogg signed a three and a half year contract with the Stripes.
Birkirkara stressed the arrival of Hogg will have no effect in any way on the future of Macedonian goalkeeper Kristijan Naumovski whose contract expires at the end of this season.
A product of Pieta’ Hotspurs FC, Hogg joined Valletta FC in 2007 where he played for five seasons before he moved to Cyprus to join Enosis Neon Paralimni FC. In the following season, he joined AEL Kalloni of Greece where he played for three seasons before returning to Malta with Hibernians FC.
Meanwhile Jake Grech signed for Hibernians after his transfer request has been accepted by Birkirkara. He signs a five-year deal with the Paolites.
A former player of Hamrun Spartans FC, Jake Grech joined the Stripes in summer 2017.
