Despite the appointment of Jacques Scerri as their new coach, Balzan dropped another two important points in their challenge for a place in the UEFA Europa League this summer after being held in a goalless draw by Mosta the Hibernians Stadium on Saturday.
This was the fourth draw for Balzan in seven matches. A draw which puts them on level points with Birkirkara. On the other hand, for Mosta, this was the fourth positive result from the last five matches but now share the third place from bottom with Senglea Athletic.
Shots at goal were few and far in between with the best opportunity occurring seven minutes in the second half when Andrija Majdevac was unlucky to hit the crossbar with a header from close range following a cross by Cadu.
