On Monday, Malta lost 3-0 to the England Colleges National Team.
Ward and Simons gave England a two-goal lead by the end of the first half with Carey adding another in the second half.
On Tuesday, the team led by coach Winston Muscat produced a better performance on Tuesday although Palmarucci put the Lazio regional selection ahead but a last-gasp penalty by Finucci ended their hopes of grabbing an equaliser.
The Malta Under-19 team conclude their group commitments with a match against Kosovo on Thursday.
The Malta U-19 side’s participation in the Roma Caput Mundi Tournament is part of their build-up for the qualifying round of the 2019/2020 UEFA Under-19 Championship later this year. Italy, the tournament hosts, Slovakia and Cyprus are the other teams in Group 6.
