Mosta and Gzira United shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Mosta took the lead on the 6th minute when off a cross by Massimo Sammartino from the right, Zachary Brincat headed home with the ball being deflected by the goalkeeper and hitting the upright before ending at the back of the net.

Gzira could have equalised on the 20th but Edison Bilbao Zarate was unlucky to hit the crossbar. On the 40th, the Maroons threatened once again the Mosta rear-guard, hitting the posts through Haruna Garba and Nikolai Muscat.

However three minutes in added time, Haruna Garba levelled matters for the Maroons following a Rodolfo Soares throw in.
